Getting to Zero – Peer Caseworker

We work to​​ advance the rights of women living with HIV and at risk of HIV and we challenge unequal access to services, opportunities and well-being based on gender. There is a clear gender-gap in all areas of HIV related healthcare, research and advocacy that creates barriers to achieving a high quality of life. We want to expose and remove this gender-gap. 

Our work is based on the day-to-day experiences of women living with HIV. Their priorities are our priorities. We produce high-quality research to fill gaps in knowledge and to ensure the needs of diverse communities of women living with HIV are understood and addressed. 

We support all women living with HIV across the UK and are determined that the needs of the most marginalised or under-represented are not forgotten. We will seek out and listen to the voices of women, no matter their race, their gender identity, their age, their sexual orientation, whether they have been or are in prison, their citizenship status, the work they do, or any disability they may have. 

Getting to Zero is a new partnership between Sophia Forum, Positively UK, Plus Health, NAZ, Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, and North West Middlesex Hospital, to further embed and to offer HIV peer support across North West London. This collaboration is funded by Fast Track Cities, which aims to improve the lives and wellbeing of HIV patients by ensuring they receive peer support as part of their journey post diagnosis. This is funded by London fast Track Cities Collaborative.

The Opportunity 

Job title: Peer Caseworker

Hours: 10 hours per week

18 month fixed contract, Probationary period of 3 months 

Salary: £28,000 pro rata 

To provide an integrated offer of HIV peer support across Chelsea and Westminster Hospital Foundation Trust (CWHFT) clinic sites and North Middlesex Hospital Trust. The role will involve working collaboratively with Getting to Zero partners, staff and specialist services across clinical and voluntary settings, enabling patients to access holistic and effective support to improve their health and wellbeing.

Monthly clinical supervision will be provided.
